Raid 2 Movie 2025 Review
‘Raid 2’ centers on the clash between income-tax officer Amay Patnaik and Dadabhai, a beloved yet corrupt politician. Despite a promising premise, the film falters with a shaky narrative structure, misplaced musical cues, and irrelevant characters. The first half showcases Patnaik’s sharp mind and dedication but is bogged down by a superfluous romantic subplot featuring Vani Kapoor.
Ajay Devgn anchors the film with his intense presence and commanding stride, though his portrayal of Patnaik feels somewhat detached. Riteish Deshmukh fits well as Dadabhai, but the character lacks the menacing depth needed for a compelling villain. The dialogue shines, with memorable lines like “Maine kab kaha main Pandav hoon, main toh puri ki puri Mahabharat hoon” and “Sarkaar koi bhi chalaye, department toh aapke aur mere jaise log chalate hain,” offering moments of relief.
The climax delivers some satisfaction and entertainment, but the film feels undercooked, lacking complexity in its development. A more intricate approach could have elevated its impact. Despite its flaws, Devgn’s performance and the intriguing concept keep ‘Raid 2’ engaging.
