Last Bullet 2025 Movie Review
Last Bullet kicks off with a “previously on…” recap, catching you up on the Lost Bullet saga like it’s a TV series binge. It revisits why Lino (Alban Lenoir) is detained by Spain’s Civil Guard, recaps the corrupt detective Areski’s (Nicolas Duvauchelle) betrayal—abandoning his wife and son after killing cops—and highlights Julia (Stéfi Celma), one of France’s few honest officers. Commander Resz (Gérard Lanvin), the scheming narcotics chief, has twisted the situation: Lino is released, Areski is on the run, and Julia’s fate with the police rests with Lieutenant Moss (Pascale Arbillot), who’s likely to back Resz over principled cops like Julia, as fans—or recap viewers—will recall.
But what about the wild cars? Director and co-writer Guillaume Pierret’s knack for insane custom vehicles shines again. From Lino’s battering ram bank-robbing car in the first film to the Renault 21 Turbo—once his mentor Charas’ ride, upgraded with electrified grappling hooks in the second—Last Bullet follows the Fast & Furious vibe. Lino, with help from Julia’s gearhead friend Sarah (Julie Tedesco), builds a new beast equipped to thwart villains. And if you’re wondering, “What if Resz and his armed goons show up in a helicopter?”—don’t worry. Lino’s latest creation is ready with aerial countermeasures.
