Kankhajura Season 1 Web Series 2025 Review

As Ashu grapples with life after 14 years in prison, his buried obsession with his brother Max resurfaces. Max, a ruthlessly ambitious man, is steeped in corruption, driven to realize his dream of a seaside real estate empire at any cost. His only ties to humanity are his devotion to his wife, Nisha, and their daughter, Ira, whom he cherishes above all, perhaps even his ambitions.

KanKhajura is a poignant exploration of trauma, obsession, and the way past wounds fester into something unrecognizable. Unlike sensational crime dramas, it remains grounded with a slice-of-life authenticity. Its characters are vividly flawed, broken, and human, weaving a tapestry of family, crime, politics, and corruption. The narrative balances external conflicts with internal struggles, and its subplots enrich the story without overwhelming the central focus.

The title KanKhajura—meaning centipede—mirrors Ashu’s deceptive nature. Outwardly fragile and stuttering, he moves with the calculated precision of a centipede’s many legs, concealing a web of motives beneath his unassuming demeanor.

Roshan Mathew delivers a riveting performance as Ashu, the show’s dark, beating heart. His portrayal is a psychological tour de force—manipulative, calculating, and chillingly faux-naïve. Beneath the fragile exterior, rage and sociopathy simmer, honed rather than dulled by his years in prison.
