Gram Chikitsalay 2025 Web Series Review
Dr. Prabhat, abandoning his urban hospital, takes charge of a rundown rural health centre, only to find his path obstructed by farmland. The villagers’ loyalty to a local quack doctor complicates his mission, while he uncovers illegal medicine sales within the Primary Health Centre (PHC). Misplaced vaccines and the erratic behavior of Sudhir, a staff member’s son, add to his woes. Navigating political tensions and corruption, Prabhat tackles Sudhir’s mental health issues while grappling with the village’s intricate social fabric.
Fresh off Kull, Amol Parashar shines as Dr. Prabhat, embodying a doctor humbled by a quirky village. His nuanced portrayal captures Prabhat’s inner conflicts with sincerity. Vinay Pathak, in a brief but impactful role as the quack doctor, exudes charm, making the locals’ trust in his dubious methods believable. Anandeshwar Dwivedi steals the show as Phutani, a corrupt PHC staff member, infusing the role with distinctive dialogue and expressive flair. Garima Vikrant Singh delivers a compelling performance as a mother fiercely protective of her son’s mental health. Akanksha Ranjan Kapoor’s role, however, feels underwritten and lacks impact. Akash Makhija and Santoo Kumar stay authentic, enhancing the series’ grounded tone.
